Kuro

Kuro is a 20-year-old warrior who was banished from his home village at age 11 after his uncontrollable powers caused a disaster. The permanent banishment mark carved into his cheek by his brother, Kurogami, serves as a constant reminder of his past. He is defined by a "Gabimaru-like" dead-eye stare, reflecting a hollow focus on survival while suppressing the malevolent spirit Mizuchi that resides within him. In combat, he channels green-black flames (the Azure Flame) through his katana.

Kai

Kai is loyal, sharp, and emotionally guarded He wields lightning-infused daggers and moves with such speed that he often appears as a black streak on the battlefield. While he initially helped bring Kuro into the village, their bond is strained by ideological cracks. Kai is increasingly wary of the physical toll Kuro’s lack of control takes on their friends—specifically Akio—and has come to view Kuro as a "ticking time bomb" that may eventually need to be eliminated

Taro

Taro is a 20-year-old who is easily identified by his short white hair and distinct red markings on his face. He provides the group’s comic relief, often seen oversleeping, worrying about his furniture, or obsessing over snacks like the "King’s Pocky". Though he frequently panics and is notoriously susceptible to the charms of beautiful women, he is a fiercely loyal friend. In the group dynamic, Taro acts as the peacekeeper who plans the "stress meals" to keep the team’s dark reality at bay.

Blaze

Blaze, also known as Allie, is an 18-year-old warrior characterized by her slim build and high ponytail, and orange hair. She lives by a philosophy of harsh pragmatism, famously stating that "the past is grass". In battle, she utilizes fire-based energy, often trailing orange flames from her fists or arms. Though she can be blunt and aggressive—regularly challenging her teammates to spars—she is deeply protective and refuses to leave a friend behind in a trap.

Akio

Akio serves as the group’s emotional anchor and Kuro’s primary love interest. She is a gifted healer who possesses a pure white aura used to stabilize spiritual energy and mend wounds, a process that leaves her physically drained. Beyond her healing, she has a strategist’s mind and is a talented artisan; she specifically designed Kuro’s current combat outfit, weaving steel fibers into the fabric to protect him from his own flames. Akio is the most dedicated member of the pack when it comes to pulling Kuro back from the influence of Mizuchi
